Ian Laperriere enjoyed a 16-year career in the NHL, which included the 2009-10 season when he helped the Flyers advance to the Stanley Cup finals against Chicago. During his time with the Flyers, Ian earned a reputation as a tough player, winning The Hockey News Toughest Player in the NHL Award for 2009-10. Despite retiring as an active player, Ian continues to serve the Flyers as Director of Player Development and as an assistant coach.
